2009 Dodge Ram revealed

Dodge will show off its redesigned Ram pickup truck at the Detroit auto show next week. The truck features an all-new exterior design with a more aggressively styled headlight and grille design, plus more powerful engine choices, and a number of new features.
The new flagship motor is a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that produces 380 hp and 404 pound-feet of torque. The truck will also be available with a 4.7-liter V8 providing 310 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque, and a 3.7-liter V6 generating 215 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque.
An redesigned chassis made of high-strength steel incorporates an all-new, first-in-segment, multi-link coil spring rear suspension that improves ride and handling characteristics without reducing payload (up to an estimated 1,840 pounds) and towing capability (up to an estimated 9,100 pounds).
The truck features a drastically revamped interior, which reflects Chrysler's growing commitment to interior quality, after years of disappointing cabins. It features six-ring instrumentation, redesigned controls, chrome accents, premium seating with improved bolsters and two-tone upholstery.
The all-new 2009 Dodge Ram is offered in regular cab, Quad Cab and crew cab, with three box lengths: 8-foot (regular cab), 6-foot-4-inches (regular cab and Quad Cab), and a new-for-2009 box length of 5-foot-7-inches (crew cab). Five trim levels are available, each with a unique appearance: ST, SLT, TRX, Sport, and the top-of-the-line Laramie.

Makes the Tundra look cartoonish. I like this Ram much more. This is simple, muscular, has equal power to the Tundras 5.7L, and has very nifty and creative storage compartments. Not to mention an interior design that puts the Tundras to shame.
Toyota better keep updating the Tundra because within just one year, the competition already caught up and in some areas already passed them.

Not bad at all. I think I would actually consider a dodge ram if I was shopping for a pickup. Interior looks really nice compared to most other pickups. I like the dual tips and the horsepower is nice too. BTW, for a second I thought I was looking at ford f-150 from the side.

Beautiful truck!! The re-design is definately refreshing and the interior is beautiful. Looks like Dodge is borrowing styling cues from the Ford F-series with the woodgrain and the headlights. Still a really god looking truck.
That thing is beautiful! My only dislike is the round-***** for the HVAC. Other than that, it's gorgeous. Great interior, awesome and aggressive outside, and DUAL EXHAUST! it's about damn time for a nice set of sticks outside.
Chrysler is definitely stepping up, and it's about damn time!

Well it still doesnt have the towing capacity there... the interior quality is much nicer than it used to be, but theres a ton of panel gaps in there and getting 380hp out of a 5.7L isnt whats impressive about the Tundra; its ULEV rating and powerband ARE (not to mention it probably makes more power than rated). We'll see.
