Default Lancer Evo X

What are the new stats on this car? I have heard crazy acceleration times 0-60; 4.4 or some nonsense. Has anyone else heard that or SEEN that? I don't think I could ever buy one of these but those are damn fast for the money. I think those and WRX's just aren't much too look at.

I don't own a EVO but instead an IS350. That is why I am on this messageboard. Just looking for some info on this car.

I think he meant the wrong forum category.

I don't doubt that the EVOs are monsters, and even though they are much faster than my SC400, I chose it for an entirely different reason. I would sure like to give it a try though!

From a roll, IS350 (maybe?). From a stop, Evo 9. That is stock though and for another $1k, the Evo will own the IS350 anywhere, anytime. Too bad its uuuugly.

evo's have been making crazy acceleration and overall racing numbers sinc their inception in the early 90's. they are for real and will make even more power with justa few mods. i work on my friend's evo 8, and so far it's made 368 hp to all 4 wheels on a mustang dyno. that' sjust with cams, turbo back exhaust, ecu reflash.

the new EVO X is going to be terrible in terms of acceleration. It weights around 3600 pounds! The handling will be amazing thought but don't expect it to be quicker then the Evo 9. Plus the new engines turbo is behind the block meaning its a tight space and a lot of heat. Plus I believe Road and track did a comparison test for fastest Sedan and it only achieved a 13.7 in the quartermile.

Well, it's hard to believe that the EVO X will run 4.4 but the Evo IX ran 4.5, so it's not out of the question - especially on the SST model. SST is slower than DSG but should still easily outperform a manual. Now of course, the Evo X weighs 300lbs more (almost 10%), but as we've seen, these automated twin-clutch transmissions speed things up enough to offset increases in weight of this magnitude. We'll see once real reviews start coming in.

They tested the Evo 9 and X on the track and the X actually had slower lap times. I can't remember if I read it in an article or saw it on an internet video.

I believe Best Motoring tested the EVO X vs. EVO IX and STI (GE) vs. STI (GD) all at once. Both newer models were slower than the previous version. However the STI (GE) was a bit waster than the EVO X.

I am seriously going to murder someone if this fad of using "murder-out" infects CL.

Murdered out = blacked out.
