Default Yet another copycat.....

Suzuki Kizashi

At the Frankfurt Auto show, Suzuki displayed the Suzuki Concept Kizashi, which would have been an outstanding vehicle, had it not been a direct rip-off of the Maybach Exelero. Is this what it has come to, even the concepts coming out from the lesser SE Asian companies are now going to be reiterations of those produced by the big design houses?

I see NO similarity. Then again, an apple does kinda look like an orange ripoff. J/K

Funny, the Suzuki looks much better.

Before we start tossing stones here, remember.......it is hard to design anything on wheels today that doesn't look like SOMETHING else on wheels. So many thousands and thousands of prototype and concept vehicles have been done over the years that, for the most part, there are no truly original designs any more......the Pontiac Aztek was one of the last.

I'm still trying to force myself into finding a similar element. They're not even the same body type - coupe vs. sedan

Is that Suzuki a hatchback? No similarities and they both look nice.

I can see where youre finding similar design cues, front large one piece grille, swooped fast back design. But no its a huge rip off. Besides, its a concept. Any company can take a ton load of design cues from other cars and still never make it for production.

As for real rip offs... and im Chinese so I know the reputation of imitation products that come out, but this link >
http://autobeat.blogspot.com/2007/04...auto-show.html
shows serious rip offs. And please dont say how Asian companies would now copy ideas cause they lack some. Its not something we're proud to hear of, despite the proof that goes around.

Maybe the monstrous grill and the sloping integrated-looking headlight in the suzuki.

But damn, that's a suzuki????
