Funny picture I found, I still love the LS460

 

I personally cant argue about that. That was my only design beef with the new LS that I had since the LS concept debuted (then the Camry a month later). The similarities in that quarter panel are there. But other than that they look nothing alike.

 

yep i agree with GFerg. the camry has a round like rear end and the LS has a boxy shape.

 

lol, i asked my wife long ago if she could tell the difference between ls and camry from the rear (taillights, etc...). she was like hell yeah of course, you think i am retarded?

that from a person who can't distinguish mb for the life of her

 

I can tell the two apart on the road instantly from a mile from any angle if it's not dark, that all that matters ...

 

From the front, its difficult for me to tell the difference between the ES and LS.

 

Well there famliy of course theres going to be similarities.

 

Pics are one thing.

But when you see those lights turned on in front of you, there is a huge difference. The LS has distinctive LED strips, whereas the Camry has a generalized glow.

Camry vs LS460 isn't bad. It's the Camry vs ES that i have trouble telling apart from (at least the rear)

 

i believe camry has horizontal clear lens, the es has vertical

LOL, that similarity is what irks me the most about the new LS.

They should've taken the time to see what the Camry was going to look
like. To me that is a HUMONGOUS design blunder

 

I didn't like the LS460 styling at first, but I really like it now. It only took me a few months (unlike the 7-series, which still hasn't happened ). I think it's very easy to tell the 460 from the Camry from any angle... the 460 is much bigger, and much different presence. And even for those who can't recognize basic shapes, one need only notice the exhausts to tell the difference from the rear.

 

People will take jabs at Toyota/Lexus forever....
