Is it just me or do the headlights look like they were made by Toyota?

That Super Cheif concept will be Ford's big winner in the truck market if they will just get the ***** to bring it to market. I saw one in a Toby Keith video two years ago and loved it.

Shouldn't have to wait for Detroit in January.

If the prototype truck is done and ready to go, there is no reason why Ford couldn't have it at the L. A. Show RIGHT NOW

Yeah the headlights look like the old Tundra.

I think someone should press that red button on the dashboard. Maybe that'll fix the design.

This IS a Ford product, and Ford's biggest product at that.

Exactly. That's why it is foolish to keep so many potential customers waiting.

Not foolish if you can't actually deliver them, that would just kill the sales of the current one even faster.

Agreed......but putting a prototype up on a turntable or setting one out on the floor for display is not the same as actually sitting down taking orders. I have long maintained, with a lot of justification, that the auto industry, in general, is too secretive with new models and prototypes (though there are some exceptions) and that there is far too much of a tendency to limit new introductions at the Detroit Auto Show. It harkens back to the days (and I've posted on this many times) when Detroit WAS the center of the auto industry. That is no longer the case.

In fact, VW-Audi, like some other firms that have already left Detroit, has announced it will relocate its corporate headquarters from Detroit to Herndon, VA.......about 10-15 minutes from my house.

mmarshal, I see your point...but a Ford pickup debuting in the stronghold of import market vs the heart of the domestic auto industry (even though this heart may have CHF...) is probably what prompted the decision to debut in Detroit.

While a lot of F-150's, of course, are sold in Michigan (as in many other states), the heart of American pickup country is a LONG way from Detroit......off to the South and West. That's why Toyota recently set up shop for the new Tundra in San Antonio.

The exterior is not a big departure from the current ones, the interior? no comment...
hell, never liked F-series anyway, if I am getting a truck, Tundra is my only option!
