Toyota better make a big leap with the next-gen Camry interior or risk losing sales to the competition.
Exterior-wise, nice to see it looks less like an Accord but it also looks worse than the pre-facelift front end. The front looks awkward now.
+1
The interior looks quite a bit nicer now but they should have left the exterior alone. I think the current one looks more distinctive/better than this redo.

Not even close, IMO. This new Sonata interior is head and shoulders above the current-generation (2007-2008) Camry. I am not impresses with the new camry interior at all...especially the dash plastic and control *****. Toyota will need a big leap just to catch up to the Sonata, much less surpass it.
I just wish Hyundai would do a wagon or AWD version of this car....they have not gotten around to it yet. It would be fantastic competition for the Subaru Outback and Legacy....probably at a better price and longer warranty.

Good point about AWD. Their Sonata-based SUV's have it, so it wouldn't be too hard to do with the sedan. Maybe they would have to price it too high to be competitive in the class.
Each month when the sales figures are relased, I'm surprised that the Sonata and Azera don't sell better vs. their competition. With their warranty, improved reliability and pleasant styling you'd think they'd sell better.

Well, they (and Kia) undercut the competition everywhere else....why not with a vehicle in this class?

My ex-Union President bought a new one...a V6 automatic. Just loves it. He came to me several months ago (shortly before I retired), said it was time for a new car, asked for my help and recommendations, and said let's go shopping. The Sonata was one of the cars I recommended...he was amazed at the quality and price.

The Sonata has always been an Accord ripoff... You also get what you
pay for and in Hyundai's case it is a product that fares well in initial quality,
but is decidedly worse long term (3 years of ownership). I would recommend
this car and the Camry V6 to my worst enemy with no problems
