Already in Gran Turismo 5 .
Absolutely love the way the headlights and tails light up. Clean, simple, yet very aggressive and elegant. I really hope the headlights and tails remain looking like this or very similar to this for the production car.

My first impression was G37 IPL/Genesis meets Cayman with some Japanese aftermarket styling enhancements, to put it nicely. It is incredibly aggressive (it seriously caught me by surprise, but its growing on me) and I can totally understand why some may not like it. IMO, I think Toyota needs to have this level of design aggressiveness for the FT-86 (even if its an option package similar to F-sport). They have been bland for far to long.
FWIW, I find the FT-86 G-sport to be the most attractive out of the three.

G's FTW
From the side view, the front end is shaped like a snow plow...why? I can dig the headlights but those LED "fogs" have got to go. Something simple would be best here, IMO.
This is downright mean...looks like a Maserati Gran Tourismo:
The side profile I really like.
The rear is probably the worst part. What's with this massive crease that comes from below the tail lights? It looks like another car is trying to drive out of the back of the FT. Major booty here, and not in a good way.
FWIW, I see lots of 2000GT influence in the design of this car.
Overall I like where the car is going. If you use the LFA as a frame of reference, the LFA2 concept was a bit more dramatic than the production version so if Toyota can do something similar with the FT and smooth out the front and back, and replace the fogs... I am down like china town

rather a busy design, but very impressive.
i can imagine that in a showroom next to a corolla s.

Size comparison (original work done by r4m3n of ft86club):
FT86 II
Length - 166.7
Width - 70.7
Height - 50.0
Wheelbase - 101.2
FT86 I
Length - 163.8
Width - 69.3
Height- 49.6
Wheelbase - 101.2
S2000
Length - 162.7
Width - 68.9
Height- 50
Wheelbase - 94.5
Nissan 370Z
Length - 167.2
Width - 72.8
Height- 51.8
Wheelbase - 100.4
Now that I have spent some time looking at this VS the first concept, there is no comparison IMO. This car looks much more aggressive and modern. The first one was simple and clean which isn't bad, but the new concept just takes it up about eight notches

I wish Toyota/Lexus would just do one "concept" and then get to the production version already. Having multiple concepts with revisions just seems like stalling.
Cool car though, and looks great in that color.

So it doesnt mean you would get car faster, just that you would not get the "preview" versions... and who doesnt like to salivate over previews?

I understand that. It's not the development cycle, it's the concepts that keep coming up which give the impression the vechicle is closer to production than it really is.
And it's only because other companies don't seem to do this that make Toyota/Lexus' actions stand out.
