Thumbs up Top Gear gives BMW M3 10/10

A few quotes:
  • Exterior: "It's pretty aggressive, full of detail, but not overblown.
  • "This is an engine Ferrari would be proud of"
  • "This is an engine that is precision itself, tyrannical perfection."
  • "BMW has gone for balance. Insanely fast balance, true, but balance nonetheless."
  • "On roads like these, brakes take a complete hammering...the M3 stoppers never break even a significant sweat"
  • Sound: "it's a remarkable sonic experience"
  • "When you really stretch, it warbles, then grunts, then screams."
  • "It has a vocal range that would leave Mariah Carey popping an eyeball."
  • "It isn't the most hardcore car BMW could have made...that's the best thing about it; its real accessible speed."
  • "Bring on the group tests, bring on the awards discussion meetings - I'll bring the M3."

Doesn't sound like something Jeremy Clarkson wrote though.

That review is great, it inspires me to just drive. Forget fancy electronics, plush interior, a quiet cabin, just get in, and drive.

Great review These cars improve with each generation. The waiting list for that car is a mile long. I can understand why...

Yup.. what's interesting that here on CL... minimal response to a rave review, find one that knocks it and the vultures swirl

This car is a certain winner

I guess Jeremy is not calling this one "Oh.......Rubbish."

Very nice Bimmer.....

I was thinking when I'm done with my E36 M3, I'll move on to the E46 M3....but now I've decided to skip the E46 and go straight to the E93 M3 hardtop convertible!!!

Perhaps we can call the car godly too . The E46 M3; that was legendary. It remains to be seen what this car will become.

Yup I agree. I can't wait for mine...#6 at my dealer. The wait seems like FOREVER. It's a great time to be a car enthusiast.

The new C63 seems to be more than a match for the M3, and the RS4 will soon be redesigned, even meanier and higher-performing than before. Then there is the IS-F, which is still a mystery in terms of how it will perform.
