Perhaps, but I don't see how someone can like the looks of an E92 3xx and think the M3 is ugly or what not since the changes are so subtle.

 

Please let's not turn this into yet another BMW vs. Lexus thread.

OP posted pics of the new M3 - end of story. If you don't like it, good. If you like it, equally good. Why compare it to the IS-F and then take this thread off on a tangent?

 

It looks like somebody beat a 335i with a massive ugly stick and as a
result it got that bump on the hood.

 

For the record, the bump was made to accomodate the V8.

 

I figured that much and I don't care for the aesthetics at all. The same
is true with the 350Z. It used to be a decent looking car until they beat
the hood with an ugly stick...

 

Well the e92 isn't ugly, but it's not exactly sexy either. I guess the changes is about the same compared to the change from e60 5er to m5. I don't know about you guys, but the is-f design is anything but rice.

either way, the m3 lost its original mean since 1990. i rest my case.

 

I think the new M3 only works in Alpine White. The Interlagos is passable, but the red and black just don't cut it.
