I like it.

It's not a drop-dead gorgeous car, but I like it.

I wouldn't mind having one for myself. It's a happy "downgrade" from the M6, which I can really go for...

i am pretty ok with this coupe to be honest. performance i have no doubt, and exterior at least it doesn't get the look i had when i first saw the new 5 and 3 sedan

 

I've now seen two on the road in the flesh and I still think it's ugly.

I hope that the rumoured 4 door will be better looking.

 

To each his own, but I always thought the 2 door 3 series looked better than the 4 door 3 series. I really hate those rear lights of the 4 door.

 

I can't wait to see one in person. It looks pretty good, imo, especially in black and in white. The M3 has been getting lackluster reviews, but lookwise, I like it.

In other news, I saw an IS-F coming down the road in La Habra. All doubts I had about that car (lookwise) were erased. That thing looks MEAN, poised and fantastic. Let's just hope the drive matches its looks.

This is a great time to be a car enthusiast. IS-F, M3, C63... I would be hard pressed to choose one of them. They are all promising in their own ways.

 

I just like the fact its a V-8 RWD coupe...that really appeals to me.
It just happens to look like its been in an accident. There is no way in hell anyone can make fun of the IS-F and not make fun of this thing.

I wonder will a tuner drop this engine in the E46? I know they have put the M5 V-8 in the E46.

I don't dislike the M3, but overall I just can't get excited about dropping
$60K on it. I don't know exactly why... I know the engineering and chassis
dynamics will be awesome... maybe it's the OC stigma these cars have.

You must be a 25 year-old Chinese or Persian college student with
wealthy parents to have one.

I seriously don't mean this to offend anyone by this, it just seemed to
be the reality with the E46 M3, and I'm sure the market for the used
M3 will soon be flooded with guys trying to dump their E46 M3s for the
new V8 car (not that I blame them... The V8 should be sweet!)

 

sedan looks a lot better IMO, it actually has proportions

 

I think the IS-F is uglier than the ISx50 personally. The body kit is too exaggerated. This body kit is much more subtle IMO.

 

Why is the IS-F being mentioned in a thread regarding the M3? Just curious..

i think the new m3 is too subtle. it's not wide enough. either way it's still a good looking car.
