Default So, how fast is the new TL-S 6 speed?

I've seen one yesterday parked on a street, it was Acura's famous electron blue color, and damn it looked sexy. I wonder how fast these babies are, and if I should put it on my consideration list.

If you are thinking of buying new, I might wait - another year or so from now the all new TL should be out.

One of my best friends has an 05 TL automatic and was given an 07 TL-S as a loaner car by the Acura dealer. To be honest you could tell it was a little different in the way it drove and some changes to the interior, but as far as acceleration went neither one of us could feel much if any difference.

We've ran his TL at the track before and he's raced my GS4 and A4 a few times on the street as well (just low speed contests up to about the speed limit though).

The GS4 always pulled on him slowly and the A4 is almost always a completely even race or he might win by a couple of lengths. His best at the track was a 15.0 @ 94 (and you can see my times in my sig). I've always heard that they are capable of better than that, though... then again I read lots of magazine reviews that said my GS4 would be faster than it was, too. The only car I've raced at the track, so far, that I was able to get to go as fast as the mags is my Audi. I don't know why. Maybe because it's a manual?

TL-S hit about 5.7 in the 0-60 so non TL-S is probably about 6.0

I saw a gunmetal TL-S, talked to the guy for a little. He said he loved it and how it drove. I loved how it looked.

I would also consider the TL-S.. If a new model and design is supposed to be out in a year or so than maybe i would wait.. 0-60 in 5.7 is just as fast as the GS4..

Well, the new TL might be out soon, but the new TL-S isnt gonna be out until at least 2010, and my GS is getting really long in the tooth. It's just so hard to find a worthy replacement, it seems like all the cars nowadays are getting hit with either the ugly stick or the cost cutting stick.
