Yeah i totaly understand the difference

But my priorities have changed....and I needed a $20K-21K daily driver since i drive about 1500-2000 miles a month.
My IS has 28k miles now as my "daily driver"...
For a daily driver, the Camry I4 is one of the most rational choices. Post pics when you get the chance.
Are the body kit and black grill dealer installed options? If so, that could definitely explain it since they make a killing on those.
By the way, for what it's worth - there's no such thing as a V-4. It's an inline 4.
I'd check out an Accord or Hyundai Sonata 4-cylinder first, (and you can get a Sonata V6 for less than a Camry 4) but if you decide you want a new Camry, $500 under invoice is not bad at all....go for it.

Here are the pics. My bro in law from AZ is visiting us this weekend and he has a V6-fully loaded Camry SE.

Celebrating Lexus & Toyota from Around the Globe
In comparing the '06 and '07 interiors, I was refering to what IMO was the more-solid feel of the '06 interior, and, especially, more than anything else, the MUCH more solid, precise, feel of the controls and *****...especially the climate and stereo buttons, which, in the new car, wobble as you rotate them, with a feeling like they are going to fall right off.
However, even the '06 interior, IMO was not as good as some previous Camrys. The best Camrys ever produced, IMO, were the '92-'96 ones....the car slowly went downhill in interior solidness after that.
That's not to say that the new Camry is a piece of junk, however....far from it. It still has some of the same features that Toyota and previous Camrys have excelled in...a superlative paint job, a smooth, quiet drivetrain, lack of wind noise, and reasonably good reliability if not as dead-reliable as previous models.

Maybe I am getting older and complaint less but IMO the Camry's interior is really not bad at all. I really dont think its cheap at all. And you know it is FAR FAR FAR better than the rental quality crap on the domestic autos.
I have been driving my Camry around today and just lovin it. Maybe since my whole mind set was to get something reliable, holds value and looks good while saving me money and gas mileage...I think i made a very good decision.
I will be lying if I don't say that i miss my loaded '06 GS300.

but than when I think about the money I am going to save than I am happy again.
If I have to downgrade for any reason the Camry/Accord would be my first picks.
Anyhow, your thread topic originally dealt with an individual deal on an individual Camry, not an ongoing debate about the car's plastic interior...and yes, I admit I brought part of that subject up.
Addressing the topic....the car's price, I pretty much feel the way I did before. $500 under invoice is not bad at all. If the car appeals to you, go for it.....and apparantly you did. Congragulations on your purchase.......the money you spend for a Camry buys a lot of good along with the questionable. The paint job, like most Toyota products, is superlative, and the drivetrain is well-engineered, notwithstanding some transmission defects on early-model '07 Camrys.
Now that you have a brand-new car, take it easy on the engine and brakes for the first 1000 miles or so, let them break-in properly, and it should last you years.
Good Luck.

(If you want a complementary bottle of SCRATCH-OUT for the paint, my traditional carwarming gift, PM me with your mailing address...it will help keep that excellent Toyota paint like new)
I'm vacationing in Asia (VN) right now, and wow..the cars they get here look way better than the USDM cars.
Heres the Toyota Camry (Note the headlights and grille
)

BTW the camry is 52,000 USD in Vietnam.
