I don't see why it would need an increase...

i would think that the M3 convertible would still be lighter than than the RS4 cabriolet...but then again, you're buying a convertible to be seen in so you wouldnt be interested in going fast

nah i was comparing the m3 conv with the m3 coupe, it's heavier but same power

i agree though, if you go with conv, you kind of defeat the "fast" aspect already

Let's work on coupes in general before we jump into convertibles. Toyota needs coupes hardcore.

...Well I want Toyota coupes hardcore.

In the pipeline, coming soon. It's not a question of "if" when talking about IS Coupe and hardtop variants, it's merely a question of "when". We know at CL these variants are coming, but we just don't know exactly when.

The reason why I posted it, is that the is-f is a in the same class as the rs4 and m3. Considering that the m3 is going to be 413hp, and the rs4 is remaining the same at 420. The is-f (which is speculated to be at 432-437) is truly going to look great on paper when comparing like vehicles in its class. I just used the cabriolet because it had the stats with it.

Don't know if you guys have been reading the first reviews of the new M3 but in one of them it was run against the RS4. Basically, my co-worker mentioned the RS4 won every category except for the 0-60 time (I didn't read the article). This jives with what I read from Car Magazine's review of the M3 where they felt it was geared more towards a daily driver as opposed to an enthusiast. With the e46 M3, I didn't feel any bit of luxury while driving it as it was more of a race car. Vibrations, noise, etc not to mention throw you back in the seat acceleration. Seems like some of the first impressions feel BMW went a little soft so maybe there is a chance for the IS-F after all.
