Default BMW E28 Reliability?

Hey guys, I have been looking at getting an old E28 535i with around 150k on the odo. The reason I want this car is because I just love the styling so much and would really like to get working on one! I just have one question, what am I looking at reliability wise? Are the E28's pretty reliable cars even up into this kind of mileage, or am I going to be fixing it every week?

Thanks,
Elliott

As long as it was maintatined correctly they're extremely reliable cars for their age.

Get an E46 Elliot. You can get a 99-00 for under 11k believe it or not. Check out autotrader.com Out of the box, these cars are excellent handlers bar none.

If anything i'd get an E39, mainly because that is my favorite body style of any car ever. But the reason i'm looking at the E28 is because it's extremely cheap so that I can drive it this summer until I get insurance money to buy me a new GS . Then I can fix her up a bit and resell her and maybe make a couple bucks.

I would, but I couldn't live with a coupe in high school.

I had a Subaru SVX back when I was in high school, its do-able. Plus, less seats = less "c'mon, lets take your car to the so-and-so's party tonight".

Yea that's true, my friend has a G35c and that thing is just annoying to get in and out of. Now the CL55 AMG that he got to drive the other day I had no problem getting in .

My main problem is is that it's harder to take girls around in a coupe...The backseats are also smaller if you get what I mean.
