What makes you think the next supra would be placed in that margin?

Just because the previous generation fit that price doesn't mean that it will again. They could just as well drop a V8 or V10, jack up the price and call it a day.

With that, I'm not saying that Toyota would deliver a V12 powerplant for a supra if they do decide to bring it back. All I'm saying is that we honestly have no idea what Toyota will do.

There's nothing stopping Toyota from placing a V8/V10 powerplant in the next gen Supra if they wanted to. A V12 is not very far off considering the Toyota Crown is already powered by a V12. They could very well drop that engine into the Supra, set a price higher than what we expect, and have a car that can compete directly with the Nissan Skyline GTR.
