I have about three Excel spreadsheets with multiple sheets in each, plus innumerable text files about what cars I'm going to own, at what time, and in which combinations and permutations. Anytime I'm daydreaming on rounds or in conference, I'm writing out new future car plans and thinking about new "dream stables."

Am I the only freak that does this?

Anyway, my thoughts change every week and almost every day, and range from owning 2-8 cars at a time, but three of my current "dream stables" are the following:

Ducati Desmo ("girl, get off my bike!")

 

I don't know much about bikes, but I saw a guy with a nice-looking Ducati the other day, all red and shiny and sexy-looking. He was going about 10 mph, started drifting to the side of the road, then just fell over. He apparently just started daydreaming and lost his balance. I stopped to help him up and he kept cussing himself out for being such an f'ing moron. I couldn't help but agree (silently, and to myself, of course).

Funny sight to see, especially since he wasn't injured (his bike suffered about $5k in damage, though, and it looked like the fuel tank was leaking). Down side is my fiancee, who was already anti-bike, is now even more staunchly so.

 

I started a list, then I realized that I can't...
too many cars to I want.

88 4runner restored with a nice lift, Alcoas and a 4 liter implanted, charcoal with a black top
65, 66 Mustang fastback, lightly modded but with a powerplant under the hood... super clean, dark grey or charcoal with black leather interior and hi-back seats

Are your guys' lists for just you, or for you/SO, you/SO/kids? I'm thinking 3 cars when DINK, 4 or maybe 5 cars when with kids.

My plan future stable calls for a Lexus. It has been my dream since I was young 10 and now ten years later at 20 I still want a Lexus. Probably a Lexus GS and LX would be good enough. Hopefully when I get my career set it will be the first car I purchase.

 

One of these days I want to own a Lamborghini Diablo, that is my favorite car of all time. I'll definitely be able to afford a used one sooner or later, but affording maintenance is something else entirely

Apart from that I would be happy with something like an S600 and either a Ferrari F430 or a Lambo Gallardo. Hopefully if I play my cards right I'll be able to pull it off sooner than later.

For right now my C6 Corvette is making me very happy
