Well, as much as I feel back for the two teens, I'm kind of glad they killed themselves only, and didn't kill any other innocent drivers. I am very familiar with that area, it's an upscale are in Long Island, and a lot of parents overspoil their kids by buying them these expensive fast cars, and this accident goes to show why it's not a good thing.

I don't want to dog the kids because they paid the ultimate price for their actions.
Parents that are wealthy enough to afford their children fast cars should be more responsible. My dad knew I drove fast when I was a teen, so he talked to me about it and set me straight. These parents have enough money to put a speed-log device similar to that used by rental and insurance companies. Any sign of irresponsible driving could easily warrant the appropriate actions. Unfortunately many kids seem to wear the pants in the parent-child relationship these days.
An aside - Who pays for the cleanup of that mess? Taxpayers or the insurance company?

Nope....NO WAY. You can "'Geez" all you want, but the a**hole driving that car, at least, doesn't DESERVE any respect, alive or dead. To disintegrate a car like that, especially with the kind of unibody frame a BMW has, shows he was going insanely fast...far too fast for conditions. The passenger? Maybe he deserves some respect, maybe not. I don't know. The grieving parents, friends, and loved ones? Definitely...THEY deserve some respect.

Could be a E92 335i coupe, non sport. There's a chunk of metal that looks like the coupe rear right quarter panel.
That point aside, well lets just say the driver wasn't the most responsible of people. 'nuff said.

Do you show respect for the murderers/rapists/etc that died through death sentences too?
Being dead doesn't automatically give them any rights to more respect than they had before they died, especially if they were idiots to began with.
Yes it's sad that they died, but their actions caused the accident.
