350z - not impressed
The vert does feel rather heavy. The 350z should be driven in the non-vert version, not the vert. I felt the same way (although less so) in a M3 vert. If you want a vert roadster in that price range you should look at a S2000. I'm surprised you feel your ISx50 handles better though. Perhaps it's because you are familar with your car and have more seat time in it. Was this a used car or brand new 350z?
and this was a brand new 350z
my friend w. a skyline GT-R [450hp] also has a 350z standard w. hardtop ... he uses this for things like grocery shopping and driving his grandmother around
reason i went to test drive @ dealership: i thought maybe, just maybe id like it ... as i mentioned above, i really did want to like it and given the abilities of the 300zx i expected much more from this 'upgraded' car
another friend that drove the 350z w. hardtop said 'i didnt kno nissan made tanks'
all im saying is that for $60k, i can think of cars that would be more fun
if im really going to be serious about perfomance, im not buying this

Well, a manual 350z 2007 base model without LSD ran 13.3 with a slipping clutch. He ran that time several times on my350z.com. This was stock. I am 6'5 and I can easily fit in a 350z with a lot of headroom. At least the coupe.
i didnt have problems 'fitting' in the 350z ... i was merely commenting that head space was lacking ... furthermore to that effect, yours and my style of sitting may be different: plz dont retort w. 'well sit more reclined then' or 'then y didnt you lower the seat more' because the seat was already on the floor and couldnt be reclined any further
A Clutch pedal sticking to the floor. See link:

LSD will never slow you down. VDC will slow you down. LSD allows equal power to both wheels in the rear. It's mechanical so it doesn't take away from the power of the car. LSD will only help you get traction that is all.

who is 'He' ? ... define slipping clutch: HOW slippy? ... in my experience LSD tends to slow u down, so w.o lsd would tend to be faster yea

btw i thought LSD will be slower in a drag race because u wont be getting good grip in low gears in a straight line
its what i think anyways, please correct me if im wrong
btw we are talking about the headroom of the convertible with the roof on
im sure the hardtop has a lot more room because of the curvy design of the 350Z
but the hideous convertible cloth top was not curved by much so there wasnt as much headroom as the coupe
maybe the 350Z is fast but to us when driving in person with the tiptronic, it was slow and unimpressive, im sure S2000 would score better on a track but 350Z is prob more streetable with its low end torque

These cars cost $60k up in Canada! I knew cars are overpriced up there (I grew up in Toronto) but I never realized it was that bad
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post, but you're complaining about no sunroof in a convertible? And you should try the stick before you make any judgements about the engine

That is all good night.
The Nissan 350Z since its introduction in 2003... Has, is, and will continue to be herald as one of the greatest Sports Cars anywhere at any price. You need only have glanced at any one car publication in 4 yrs to know this. So its not gonna win any interior awards, whoopty do. It is, what it is... One of the sexiest best bang for the buck rides on earth!

isnt that much much muchhhhhhhhhhhhh more bang for the buck?
yup i drive a lex and i secretly heart a chev lol
ok 350Z maybe a heck of a contender from the japanese but i would put S2000 at a higher performance than 350Z and the NSX above it too
60K CAD for 350Z just doesnt make a lot of sense to me, id rather spend that money on an used SC430
