Default 350Z Lost control and split in half

2 Injured In Street Racing Crash

HOUSTON -- A driver and his passenger were injured in a street racing crash in River Oaks late Wednesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Houston police said the crash happened when the driver of a Nissan 350Z lost control while racing a BMW on Kirby Drive near Stanmore Drive at about 10:30 p.m.

"At some point, the Nissan lost control and left the roadway, striking two trees and pinning both occupants in the vehicle," Capt. Milton Martin said.

The force of the impact caused the car to split in half.

The 21-year-old driver suffered a head injury, and his girlfriend, the front-seat passenger, suffered minor injuries. Both were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Detectives said the car had been picked up from a dealership earlier in the week.

The driver of the BMW left the scene before emergency crews arrived, police said.

Another report stated that the driver was listed at critical condition.

L2P, noob.

Good thing the driver didn't injure anyone else...he's the only one who deserves a painful consequence.

That road is NOT Kirby. it has to be a side street. I was in Houston for 3 weeks and my hotel was a block from Kirby and everypart of Kirby that I rode on was a 4 lane road.

Seems to be a member of these forums as well. He will suffer the consequences, not worried about that. Hope he gets better and learns from his mistakes.

damn they are really venting on this guy. I hope that he get better. Even though he is an idiot for doing that we have all had lapses in judgements looks like this was one of his. Just hope he lives to regret it.

3 pages of his fellow forum members telling him what an idiot he is ... i think he figured that out rite after he broke his 3-day old car in half ...

it would be interesting to know the drivers side of the story tho

gotta say tho, sux for the gf more so than the driver, cos there wasnt anything she could do about it

These guys swear the their ***** doesn’t smell, From my own personal experience 80% of Z's I have come up on in LA with a young driver has been speeding/driving recklessly.... I’m not a saint either, but come on people don’t throw rocks when you live in a glass house... There are a very good number of us including myself that at one point or another have done something dangerous that could have caused us to be in his shoes… its just the fact that we might have gotten lucky and maybe we had someone watching out for us.

I hope he makes it and he and his girlfriend are both able to fully recover.
Wish you the best man,

good luck

The Ferrari's are meant to break in half in major accidents the 350Z... not so much.
Hope he's alright.
