Blown engine
I was driving on the loop around Raleigh last week and the traffic was heavy but moving steadily. Everyone was doing around 60 in all three lanes.
A young-looking guy in a modded black Eclipse was screaming though the traffic, weaving in and out and cutting everyone off (including me) in all three lanes. It was obvious from the motions of the car that he had a standard trans.
Well, about five car lengths ahead he braked, then jammed it to fit through yet another tight spot. Suddenly, there was a huge cloud of white-gray smoke that blanketed the entire interstate. Cars were braking all over and for several moments it was a very scary situation as everyone ran into this instant fog bank.
Several hundred yards later boy racer could be seen sitting in his inert car on the shoulder. I suspect he's facing a significant repair bill.
Although I did feel bad for him, since his driving was dangerous and his injury self-inflicted I couldn't help but smile.

We had a track day up in Leon, Mexico and a riced out Renault Clio Sport lost all of its engine oil (big time leak). Kept trying to rev up and down and all around the rest of the racers (I guess to impress us) and then the oil started to drip out. Quite a show it was with that long line of oil down the highway.
