Default Autobacs Invasion...

I know the IS guys met there last week - but other than that, never heard of Autobacs - then today I read this:

http://www.autoblog.com/2007/03/27/e...ng-to-the-u-s/

Looks like they're getting ready to expand, at least on the east coast.

What do you guys think? Good stuff there? Good prices? I should go to the one in Stanton, CA and check it out...

They have pretty nice stuff but I have never ran out there so fast in my life.
Lots of items were overpriced
Not sure how it is now.

It's probably cheaper than having to order them from Japan.

Prices vary, some good, some not too good. It is however a good place to see products in hand before buying online. They have tons of things in inventory. They have racing seats and what not that you can sit in. They are also good when you need certain items *now* as opposed to later.

land of the overprice item and crappy service center.

The forgot to tighten one of my tie rod nut. I had to spend money to get an alignment again.

Only thing I buy at Autobacs are the JDM waxes. Other than that, they really don't have anything I need, or should I say, they don't have anything I would like to pay their prices for...hahaha.

i agree that the prices are a bit on the high side, but the fact that they carry imported items is a good thing. you guys have it so easy nowadays. a long time ago getting JDM parts meant ordering from a shop that could even get the stuff then waiting for it to come over on a ship, then paying really really high prices.

Some prices are highish which is probably full retail. Given gas prices, unless you already know a particular vendor that discounts, I tend to stop and buy because I drive right by it.
