Talking A useful, cool and different accessory for your IS ......

When you turn your Lexus IS off at the end of the day where do you park it? Many of us have a garage space for it, but what's it like in that garage? Specifically, what's the floor like? Probably like mine was before today, cold concrete with scars of spilt oil, tire marks, etc ....

Well, my friends, there is a solution to that crappy looking floor. Over a period of 8 hours today I put down a RaceDeck floor that now gives my IS a space worthy of it. This floor snaps together using 12" tiles available in 10 colors and various styles that you design online. The results speak for themselves. (Rearranging the rest of the garage and cleaning up the shelves starts tomorrow!)

wow very nice. Looks like you have a standard size two car garage. Mind if I ask how much this project will typically run? And what site did you buy from?

This stuff is cool, I looked into it before but at $3-4 per tile it can get quite expensive to fully cover a garage.

As someone else has posted this material is available from www.racedeck.com, a company out of Salt Lake City. Cost for tiles is $3.50 per sq ft. My two car garage cost $1,325 which included the beveled trim pieces on the ends and UPS shipping to my door. Not super cheap but it cleans up the garage and neighbors haven't stopped coming by to check it out. It should be very durable, at least from what I have heard.

Costco sells the same kits (<$2.50 per 1'x1' tile).
