Bentley drops new Brooklands coupe in Geneva
Posted on Tuesday 6 March 2007
Bentley has revealed an all new model in the form of the Brooklands coupe at the Geneva Motor Show, and the industrious guys over at Autoblog managed to get their hands on the first images of it. Described by Bentley as a “grand touring coupe with classic British proportions,” the new 2+2 coupe gets its name from the Brooklands circuit in Surrey, where Bentley used to race back in the 1920’s.
The mega-coupe is powered by Bentley’s all-aluminum 6.75L turbocharged V8 developing 500hp and 775 ft-lbs of torque, and features a pillar-less profile, 20inch alloys with a mirror finish and acres of rear-legroom in the back. Only 505 models are planned for production, with the first deliveries scheduled to start in the first half of next year.

I agree with you on the looks, but maybe you won't see the differences in the details until you've actually sat inside both cars ? I think this car is larger too, but I do think the Continental GT is probably a better value than this one.

I actually know some younger celebrities(middle age & younger) don't even think the sedan version (Bentley Arnage) is too old for them. So I think it's OK to drive this car if you can afford it.

Oh don't misunderstand me, heck I'd drive it myself . I'm just saying that its targeted audience is obvious especially when looking at the two i.e. Toyota targeted youngsters with the Xb but you see quite a few older folk driving them, so it goes without saying. Just making an initial observation.

Since the introduction of the Continental GT, all of the pre-existing models just look "aged" both inside and out, especially the overhangs, etc.
Still a hot car, but it looks too similar to a 98 or 01 or yadda yadda.
