Wow! wtf... The driver's side looks pretty intact, suprising. I hope this car wins some crash test awards, but wtf happened there? lol

That was very lucky.

Hopefully no serious injuries in this accident. The driver's
side at least looks pretty intact.

That is what I was thinking when I was looking at the wreckage. LOL

Is that the actual damage, or did they use the jaws of life to rip the car up?

If I had to guess he hit the tree with the white band (there are some
tire marks headed in that direction). That crushed the passenger side,
split the car in half and spun the front around.

You would think the tree would be severely damaged, but they are
deceptively strong.

as long as the driver was "kept" in the driver seat, then i think he escaped ok

just hope there are no other passengers...

Another detail I just noticed is that he seems to have tried to swerve
away from the tree at the last second. That accounts for how the
car was split in half and the front was spun around... I am now
99.99% sure he hit that tree.

Not the car that saved him-look at the passenger side. Just pure lady luck and a rub of the rabbits foot.

Good for the driver, but what happened to the passenger (cut in half?) haha so much for safety.

Not another one of these... guys, these things are staged. There's no way that a car could hit a tree with enough impact to split in half, but the tree survives without a scratch. That tree would be lying on its side. Also, you can see countless clues on the car that prove someone took a sawzall and air chisel to it.

Not a real accident.

From his brother-in-law:

"What you see is what you get, i.e. there was no cutting of the vehicle prior to the pictures being taken.
It is my brother-in-law that you see holding the mobile phone, he honestly doesn't know the speed that he was going at but wasn't near as fast as he has done in the past on that particular part of the road.

Although the road was completely dry he said that it felt he was on ice and the car just careened into the tree. He actually called the emergency services and climbed out of the car by himself, he spent only a couple of hours in hospital, apart from a few minor scratches he got a bandage around his little finger, I told him if he's not already religious he should take it up ASAP!

The car WAS a pristine RS6 ABT, I was supposed to pick it up that very day to borrow it from him for a week as I've always wanted to try out the ABT version. He really should have simply told me that he didn't want me to drive his car I'm so happy he is alive and all in one piece."
