Whoever make this video or sponsor them used female( no offense) and a Ferrari park behind to show how easy you can operate the system. Unlike another video that show a few GM's guys try to operate the system and making fun of it.
I think this system is for experimental purpose or a real world testing for Lexus engineers before they launch another version of the self-parking.

lol yeah Driving Television is one of the local car show here in vancouver thats very noobish
there was so much space for her and the system to make lots of mistakes and still not hit anything
so basically this video shows nothing but a woman can still not follow simple instructions (ie, do not step on gas when reversing)

for computers it actually doesnt matter how much extra space you have.
I dont remember what magazine did the test where they gave LS to female driver, and plenty of space, and she hit the curb without the system, and was fine with it.
I wish she actually parallel parked LS on her own to show us how she does it usually :-).
Unfortunately, the biggest problem with the parallel parking system is that the car "guesses" where you want to park.
The car can "sense" the positions of the cars in the front and back, as well as the curb. If the car "sees" a line on the road that shouldn't be there (such as a painted line or crack on the road), it will read it as a parking line. It takes forever (if at all even possible) to adjust the box in which the car should park in if it senses other lines/positions. If the car "senses" the wrong spot to park in, it will be very difficult to correct the position. You may have to move the car forward or backward, or even readjust your starting position/angle all over again.
In short: it works. Not all the time, but it works...
