Default ELIICA--lithium-ion battery powered vehicle

http://www.eliica.com (full japanese site)
http://www.eliica.com/tms2005/en/eliica.html

i saw this vehicle on a discovery channel show and though about how amazing/clean power it produces

the car is powered by 320, IIRC, lithium-ion batteries. though it is only in testing stages, it has been running on the track and reaching speeds of 370km (229mph).

also a more streetable version is reachin 0-100km in about 4.1 seconds.

great technology available, hopefully very soon in the future, but maybe longer than we expect--as only one major vehicle company has showed interest, but not named

Toyota is going to switch to these batteries I believe with the next generation of hybrids.
They are going to rock!

yum

Li-Ion needs to be cooled though as through quick discharge, they will be very sensitive to overheating
