Thanks!

M5 - Unreal performance. Great seats. Rest of interior worse than a Kia. Shifting near 9000rpm!?

CLS55 - Nicer interior. Not as composed as the M5. Engine sound

Something about listening to a German voiceover though that is very irritating. Had to turn the sound down while he gabbed.

I still like the M5, one of the angles makes the M5 look like its smiling a bit.

Mercedes has too many bloody models, makes my head spin.

If someone was givin it to me, Id take either one, but if I had to choose, the M5 would get my money.

personally....i'd take the CLS.

i'm not running tracks and arguing about slalom numbers on a daily basis--and the 55AMG is plenty fast enough to keep the riceboys at bay...

I can't get past the 5-series styling... I could live with it in a $58K 550i,
but not a $90K M5. It's sort of anonymous looking, which I suppose
makes it a great "sleeper" car.

Also, the old M5s used to suit nice and low- what happened
with the new one? It sits up high like a Honda Accord! Wheel gap, anyone?

For day to day driving, I'm all over the CLS55. Torque is your friend.
The CLS looks cool, too.

Watching these cars get flogged on a race track is akin to watching some juiced up body builder (like Ronnie Coleman) running on a track and jumping over hurdles.

What's exactly the point of hurling 4000 + lbs of car around a track?

Do they have some magical ability to defy physics???

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed watching the vids, but what exactly is the point?

Hameed - lol. You say this as one who owns a hot car that's probably around 3900lbs now with the audio gear?

Good point, Hameed. You mean you don't drive like that on the Don Valley Parkway?
