Here is a new X5 commercial being shown on televison. The X5 on the famous Nubergring. This is an actual track lap on the ring, and not a computer animation.

I'd like to run my RX300 out there. I think they let an RX300 with the TTE Compressor run out there once (did a search on the net), but can't remember the time. I wish the track here would let me run (Hermanos Rodriguez), but they said no SUVs, just lowered trucks.

I'm almost positive there is nowhere to surf in Austria.

How about kangaroos and crocodiles in "Austria"?

I think he was probably confusing Austria and Australia together lol

I drove an X5 non-sport once... it handles very very well for a truck. My only complaint with the previous X5 was that back seat legroom was horrible in comparison to the RX and MDX.

I don't know that build issues are a problem with the location of the workforce, as much as it is a problem with the assembly process or material quality.

You think the back seat legroom was horrible? Try the trunk space. For a vehicle this size the trunk is even smaller than the 5-series (E39) stationwagon and I believe it's smaller than the X3's.

Same thing can be said to the Infiniti FX. I think that's even worse, but at least the FX has better rear seat cushion than the way-too-low X5's

I have driven it 3 times now and IMO, its just one of those things you HAVE to try, to find out how good it is. The RX, IMO mastered how to drive like a friendly car. The X5 has mastered how to drive like a sports car.

What I really liked was how SOLID the car felt. IMO, it FELT worth the price, even if it is not the size of one of those huge SUVs for the same price.

A friend echo'd the same feeling recently, he was expecting to be disapointed and left saying "Damn it drives like a 3 series".
