Lexus continues to impress...
Forbes rates the most reliable luxury autos of 2006.
Honestly...it's kinda pitiful...for the other big luxury companies that is!
The "big guys" (BMW, Mercedes, Jag) NOWHERE TO BE SEEN!
They still cant beat the Lex for...well...working. These cars simply work like a good car should and I'm proud and comforted to be part of the legacy.

Wow, the whole Lexus lineup is on there
Yes, Jaguar made it with the description saying "An under-performer in the showroom as well as a lackluster vehicle compared with such competitors as BMW's 3 Series, Jag's X-Type gets a bit of redemption from its high J.D. Power rating."
I like the description of the SC 430: "Known in the auto business as more of a woman's car than a man's car, the Lexus SC should more appropriately be called a smart person's car, given its track record for durability."
Also: Porsche 911: "Porsche learned manufacturing techniques from the Japanese. Like Japanese automakers, the company practices kaizen, or constant improvement, in its manufacturing processes. The 911's reliability speaks to Porsche's success in building cars that last."

I don't know what either of you are talking about.. All I see is the Acura RSX being the most reliable luxury car out there for JD power blah blah.
EDIT: oops... didn't see that next button.. my bad. Lexus pwned that list.

That article is almost a year old. I thought I was looking at something new.
It is interesting to see how close the industry really is. Someone has to be in the top 10. However, a Jaguar and a Lincoln are just as reliable as a Lexus?
That is the real story. Not surprised to see a few Lexus on the list, but some of the others.
I suspect Lexus will fair even better if you looked at al the cars long term, say 3-4 years.
I am not surpised BMW and MB are not on the list as they are always pushing the envelope in terms of design and technology. Consequently, there will always be a few more glitches. More risk, more problems.
I am really surprised that a Honda Accord and Camry are not on the list.
There are so many cars, the top 10 really does not mean much. It needs to be maybe the top 50. So many great cars were not on the list and most likely missed by one vote.

Mercedes & BMW are luxury brands, but they sell lots of the non-luxury models like A & B class & 1 series in many places too.
