Last night while watching NIP/TUCK i saw the first LS460 commercial. It ahs the steering wheel turning on its own and says the wheel is turning itself cause the car is parking itself. Then it ends with the launch date.
It is really neat. The other night we were at a sports bar watching the U.S. feed of the NLCS and they had this commerical on one of the other U.S. channels and people around me were like WTF. My Mexicans friends could not believe it.
I LOVE these new commercials. The music they chose is perfect for the awe-inspiring nature of the spot. I wish I could download the commercials somewhere!
Infiniti tried commercials like this back in the early 90s - they didn't show the cars, just images of leaves & water. I guess they were going for a Zen thing...
Saw the commercial last night- there was another commercial later that didn't even show the steering wheel- just a couple people talking, followed by the "L" Lexus logo. I thought they were selling Dockers or something.
The new LS is a beautiful car. Some will buy it based on looks alone...
I hope Lexus will show the exterior of the car in future ads!!!
*By the way, the old Infiniti commercials were a dismal failure*

THAT was Infiniti?!?
I remember the commercials from the early 90's, but honestly, I didn't even know what it was for. I didn't glance at an Infiniti until the 21st Century...

The whole Jonathan Pryce and "The Clock" idea was pretty weak and boring.
Lexus should have used "The Voice." It's such a signature voice-over for Lexus that it makes it their own...
Well I just finished watching NBC's Meet the Press and there it is. Another new ad with the Lexus voice. It referenced the 8 speed automatic transmission. The car was going over various terrains, then what appeared to be clouds in an overhead shot. Kinda cool.
