The spies at KGP Photography have snapped photos of what appears to be a test mule for a production Hummer H3 pickup truck. General Motors unveiled a pickup concept called the H3T in December of 2003, but it never saw production. What's more, this test mule appears considerably longer than the two-door H3T.
While the rear camouflage is squared-off to look like a typical SUV, a close look at the way the fabric droops and pinches inward behind the C-pillar gives the game away. There is nothing but air back there. It appears the vehicle may be fitted with the bed from a Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab.
At the Paris Motor Show, GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz said traditional pickup truck — unlike the short-bed H2 SUT — remains an "option." Lutz made it clear Hummer would get "two or three more products" in the coming years "to give it sufficient market coverage."
I am going to buy a sticker that says " Hummer H2/H3 recover team " on my T4R. they are complete garbage.
H1, that i like.
Back in highschool (lol, that was a year ago) a bunch of friends and I were off roading fiends. I even took my X5 off roading (although I wasn't always successful).
We had some windshield decals made for all our cars that say "HUMMER RECOVERY SQUAD" We had a lot of fun and it was icing on the cake that there were some kids at school that had H2's or H3's.
Now that I've got an LX too, I wish I could go back in time. I'd finally be able to keep up with every one else with the extra ground clearence.
They already have a pickup similar its called the colorado, and it carries the 5-cylinder engine.
I think H3 has the same whimpy 5 cylinder motor that gets only 14mpg city and I cant belive they made an ad saying it a great gas saver. And GM complains they are not going good.
