Default Costco Gas Worth It? Do You Use It?

I know there are a lot of discrepency between what gas should be used, but is Costco worth it, it is so much cheaper (price wise) than other major brands and they offer 91 grade as well. What do you guys use and if you have used Costco, has it helped or hurt your performance etc, thanks in advance for the input.

I use Costco gas exclusively in my IS250, seems to work great I notice no difference between that and Shell or Chevron. Here in Hawaii they get their gas from Aloha Petroleum which is on the Top Tier gas list. I found a list here http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers.html And the prices are great, generally the prices are 50 cents cheaper a gallon then the other places around.

Costco gasoline goes into my `04 GX470, `05 645ci, and `05.5 A4 2.0 T Quattro. While I had it, I put Costco gasoline into my `04 SC430. The only difference I noticed between Costco's gasoline and other brands was the amount of money I paid at the pump.

I used Sam's Club gasoline exclusively. Because it is a bit cheaper. No problems.

I agree. If it's Top Teir, I'd say it's good.

Use premium. Not only does the manual require it, but it's really not that much more money if you think about it. Premium is usually $.20 more expensive than regular, so 14 gallons X .20 = $2.80 more at the pump if you're running on almost empty. This is the very definition of a "no-brainer."

Would it matter if the state you live in (AZ) requires special stuff in their gas in different months? I know in summer time the gas is a bit different than in winter. I'm not sure if it's like that in the whole US. Would that top tier gas list still be applicable to a state like mine?

Do we have a 14 or 16 gallon tank? I always use shell btw, just because its closest thing on the way to school.

I run Shell, but only because I have a 5% rebate on gas. Ends up being cheaper than Costco.

Is that still true in Texas? In New Jersey, I've noticed that the price differential between regular and premium has been increasing, and is now as much as 40 cents at some stations.

Wow! The $.20 differential is true everywhere I've seen so far in the DFW area, and it was usually applicable everywhere I drove in California, too. However, that's why I said "usually," since I have seen that scenario on occasion, too. Also, I used 14 gallons in my calculations since that's the most I've ever put into my IS. I'm sure we have more in reserve, but running it dry is a recipe for early fuel sending unit failure.
