Default Wrecked 2

About a month ago, I posted in the 3GS section how my wife wrecked our new GS.
Today, I wrecked the new G35. Not a good month for me. Naw, no one hurt. I just feel so stupid cause it was my fault. Poor judgement. I tried to slip through an opening in front of oncoming traffic and I shouldn't have. I didn't get a citation but I did cause it. My beautiful car is hurt and I'm to blame. That's what I get for picking at my wife the last several weeks. I know things happen but it still sucks. The guy who hit me was an older person who says this is his first accident. On the other hand, he was from India and lived most his life there, probably didn't drive much. I know I shouldn't have said that. I'm just bummed right now. He was a very nice man. My wife came, he asked if she would take his wife to work and we agreed. Never had that happen before...seems weird.

That sucks Reggie, sorry to hear that. Like you said, good thing no one was hurt. I remember you showed pics of your beautiful 3GS badly damaged; now I don't think I can bear to see the damages on your G35. From one G owner to owner, I know exactly how powerful that car is, but when traffic is thrown into the mix, things can take a turn for the worse. Hope your ride isn't totaled bro.

That sucks.

When I get an impatient urge while driving, I ask myself...if I decide wrong, what consequences will I have to deal with. That has turned me into a mellow driver.

Glad to hear you're o.k.

Too bad you've had all this bad luck. Your insurance claims representative must be having a heart attack...

Oh my gosh, I didn't know you lost your ES. That was one clean car. As a former ES owner I truly admired yours.
No, I'm not gonna post pics of the wrecked G35. I'm not in the mood and I felt silly doing it before. Not criticising others for doing it just feel silly personally.
You have a G now...cool. Last night I was gragging on a G35 website about my habit of turning in front of cars then taking off like a jet to get out of the way. Then today I do it again and get hit. I guess I deserve what I got for being so stupid. I won't ever be a stupid, impatient driver again. I have learned my lesson. I'll still drive fast but I will be cautious and patient.

Well, I dropped off the G at the shop today. Hopefully, it won't be there as long as the GS. Speaking of the GS, it's almost done. Got a look at her. It's all painted, just need some minor tweaking...something about the headlight wiring. The tech said today but I'll be happy if it's the end of this week.

Thanks for the compliment Yeah man, the ES is no longer here, and I still look back at the pics taken and the memories it had at several CL meets. Many, many great times..

Well at least it's good to hear your G35 is not totaled, and hopefully it'll be out of the body shop soon, looking good as new. Keep us updated.

Sorry to hear about the G35, I remember you posted the pictures of the GS, and I was like wow!!! Good thing no-one was hurt. On the other hand, your wife may now start picking at you for your accident.

I got the G35 back today and boy does it look great. JMLexus did a wonderful job on the repairs. I can see quite a bit of orange peel in the paint on the rear bumper but not on the quarter panel. Maybe they didn't want to wet sand the bumper. You know how hard it is to get a smooth surface on that plastic bumper most cars have these days. I ain't complaining, looks good to me. Besides, a few months of waxing will take care of that orange peel.

They promised the car back by 10/11 so they missed the taeget by 2 days. Would have been more had I not run around to pick up a supplement check then call between the shop and appraiser back and forth getting paperwork sent. If I hadn't done all that, wouldn't have gotten it back until Monday or Tuesday.

As much as I love my platinumsc, it's great to have the G back....it's much quicker and that makes it more fun to drive.
