i have an OEM car cover for my GS.. is it safe to use it under the sun? i have no parking and my car is constantly under the sun with no shade.. is it better to cover it or just leave it exposed? i'm more worried of the paint being baked under the cover.. might be a silly question.. but would appreciate any feedback..

True, the high temeratures under a cover won't do the paint much good, but it is probably less harmful than leaving it in the sun where the ultraviolet rays hit the paint directly....and fade the upholstery and crack the dash. The cover also helps protect inside.....high interior temperatures from direct sunlight through the windows also shortens the life of stereo and electronic components. And, don't forget, the now-universal clearcoat paint used on all new cars will help protect the colored paint layers.
The most important single thing to do when using a cover is to keep both the paint and the cover clean. Taking it on and off over dirt can abrade the paint and cause scratches...usually not deep ones. If you DO get scratches, I highly recommend SCRATCH-OUT.
