Default What track times should I expect???

I am thinking about hitting the drag strip. I've never done this before so I know my off the line time will be a big influence, but I was wondering what are average "stock" track times for a 99 GS300? I wanted to get a starting point to be able to see what, if any, difference different mods may have.

Probably mid to high 15's??? I have a 400 so I don't know exactly. the heat will play a factor in it, and also any elevation.

Here's what I found:

1998 Lexus GS 300 0-60: 7.6 1/4: 15.7

so high 15's sounds about right...good luck

try taking out the spare/jack and lowering your tire pressure a few psi, too

I got 16.6 recently at my first ever attempt. The track was sticky, and I didn't make a good start off the line at all. Plus, I'd just been to Krispy Kreme and eaten 6 donuts a few hours before.
I have a 99 GS300 (UK spec though)

My advice to you is: don't go to Krispy Kreme the day you have your 1/4 mile run

My mate has a modified IS300 auto 2001 model that did 14.68, so go figure!
