Notice also that the Top 10 aren't all luxury brands or from manufacturers that one would normally associate with the gay consumer. The fact of the matter is, we are a very diverse group of people united by sexual orientation. We represent every ethnicity, income group and live in 99% of the counties in the U.S. Statistically, we have a higher disposable income and like to spend more on luxury goods but there are those amongst us that are perfectly happy with more affordable products. The most important fact revealed in this data is that our community clearly supports companies that treat us with respect. And for that, we thank all the gay-friendly companies in all industries in the U.S.
Gaywheels.com classifies all vehicle manufacturers as gay-friendly or not based on their corporate policies for offering domestic-partner benefits to their employees in the U.S. The Most Researched list is based on website statistics gathered from April 1 – June 30, 2006 from Gaywheels.com New Car section powered by Edmunds.com data.
Lexus & Scion are supposed to be targeting this deomgraphic -- they better get on the ball bc they are no where to be found on the list. Interestingly, neither is Honda/Acura, Nissan/Infiniti, BMW or Mercedes Benz.
