Default Audi RS3 Pics

At the heart of the 2006 RS3 will be a modified version of the current A3 range topper's 3.2-litre V6 engine. This unit will be turbocharged and will also feature FSI direct-injection technology and torque will be about 450Nm.

The RS3 will get a six-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifts and will also have electrically assisted power steering. It will also feature upgraded brakes similar to that of the RS4.

Of course Audi's famous quattro four-wheel drive system will also be standard on the RS3.

I thought the 3 series Audi was a coupe-wagon thing...? This isn't some variation of the A4? Either way it's great looking and should be a performer. Looks like Audi's halt of the HP races are showing in reality. The last gen S4 had the TT 3.2L V6, and assuming this'll be a smaller single turbo, it shouldn't be making insane amounts of power. Just enough to have a fun, fast little car.

Yup, 2.7, my bad. I musta been thinking E36 M3. Good call.

EDIT: I think the lower front grille is kinda Mazda 6-ish. Regardless, like I said before, great looking car.

rumors say that all new audi's will feature the gaping elephant fish mouth that we are seeing on the new models. . . I can't tell from the pics, but is there a nasty gap-toothed jaw under that license plate?
