Default Why doesnt Top Gear review Lexus?

I am wondering why the show, Top Gear, doesnt review Lexus cars

theyve acknowledged the superiority in customer satisfaction and reliability of Lexus in their annual surveys

but how come i havent seen them actually review any of the models???

Could have something to do with the stability control program shutting down the entire car. Boring video, and very tough to test out the limits of the car. All they'd be able to do is show it cruising on a highway. I bet that little "star in a reasonably priced car" Suzuki they have would go around the track quicker than a lot of Lexus cars would. Sad, but I've also never ever heard of a stability control program so intrusive that it shuts down the entire car before, though.

Clarkson would grill lexus on its "passion" less engineering and isolation and hammer it to death comparing them to Mercs and BMWs.

James May would like it, with Lexus "superb ride and handsome good looks"

Lexus doesn't get the same kind of praise Lexus in the states gets.

And plus, Jeremy will point out that lexus cars have no soul, character, driving dynamic, etc. I've seen his review for the 3G GS430 before. Too isolated and boring to drive.

And they'd be right. Anything clarkson does is from a very "real driver" point of view. Lexus offers alot of refinement, but without the excitement of Eurocars. Nothing they offer really gets your heart pumping when you drive it. Instead, you tend to feel more like Cptn Slow.

Frankly, I'm anticipating a drive of the new z06 (they have reviewed it, but not "officially") much more than a drive of....LS460. Not much to say about them, which makes for boring reviews, which makes for poor ratings.

I liked how Top Gear did the 'indestructible' Toyota truck thing...and lol how they exposed Mercedes' quality control failures. But I don't think that Lexus and Top Gear would make an entertaining episode. The car is...too quiet, too well-mannered to be a Top Gear target.

You can bet Clarkson will get behind the wheel of that. He will also get behind the wheel of the IS coupe, when it comes out. The reason they haven't tested the IS350 is because they don't have it in England.

I would also expect Clarkson to test out either the LS460L or the LS600h simply because of the first ever 8-speed automatic transmission.

Yeah I agree that James May (Capt. Slow, lol) would definitely enjoy Lexus vehicles. Hammond and Clarkson would both hate them.
