I dont see this test to be the end of all.

Hyundai could have an infinite amount of emphasis on phone alone, and it'll come out on top.

Wow look at Hyundai - 9 out of 100! Definitely have to give BMW props for the HUD, although I didn't think they had night vision? But that is a cool feature on the new S550.

Also, this survery covers the entire model range of each maker, so you can't really use it to compare one specific model vs. another one.

iDrive wouldn't be so bad if they had shortcut buttons. That's all they need.

Why is Land Rover behind Acura? I don't recall Acura offering hill assist, or adjustable suspensions, etc.

I can honestly say the iDRIVE is very easy to use after about 2 days (keep in mind I'ma car guy). After about 2 months now, its nothing at all. However as another member mentioned, a couple shortcut buttons would make it really easy.

Acura did that Navigation with traffic reports, plus POI and zagat ratings and all that. They also had the electronic 4wd and stuff like that. With that being said the RL reportedly broke down ALOT initially.

That's true. I forgot how advanced the nav system was. But I'm thinking about how Acura doesn't even offer park sensors, or radar/laser cruise control, rearview cameras, cooled seats, things like that.

They have rear view cameras and radar/laser cruise control. In addition they also offer CMBS - Collision Mitigation Braking System. Basically it applies the brakes for you if it determines a crash is imminent. Most cool stuff - sort of Night Rider ish

edit - my 2000 540ia had more technology than my 2003 GS430. However having the most technology first is not always the best thing - just ask any 2002 745 owner
