The only thing a Q45 is good for is the headlight conversion for the GS

I also like the Q-ship. There's more exclusivity and properly modded, will turn more heads than a GS will.....simply because it hasn't been seen much.

Here is a modded Q on axis vip multipiece wheels. It's sweet, very sweet.

sweet indeed...thats a big point in me even considering the q, the exclusivity...and that pic right there is a very good example....the car has potential. Now for someone who doesnt know too much about the q, i wonder about the reliability of the car, the overall engine performace and its flaws. =]

I can't speak for the Q but I had 2 Infiniti's, a J30 and G20. Both were extremely reliable. In fact, the J30 didn't need repair once in the 3 years I owned it. The G needed only one repair. Extremely reliable cars.

Oh, one more thing. I've have driven them and they are buttery smooth but with lots of pull.

I would personally take the 02Q over a 98GS.

I'm guessing by lookin at his choices he wants to buy something used and not spend $50Kish for the M...? However, the M is simply bad ***. I think a while back there was a head-to-head with the M45 vs GS or LS430, forgot which one, in Road and Track or something...Anyway, the M came out on top. I remembering seeing the article at the Infiniti dealer a while back.

No, he's talking about the 1st gen M45 that you could get used for around 25k. There's no way the first M looks better than a 02 Q...at least not imo. Even the current M doesn't look better than a Q.

Ok, for some reason when I read it I thought he mean't the current M45. I agree the '03-'04 Ms are not as good looking at the '02+ Q. However, I think the current M is better looking than the Q.

To me the 1st gen M45 looks like a classic muscle car. Almost like a 60's Lincoln Continental

I agree. I thought the styling was a little bland, but still very cool and sleeper like. Personally, I would forget the Q and consider the M45. They have the same engine if I'm not mistaken and the M45 is almost as nice inside and a big chunck of change cheaper too.

Still, I would go for a GS over either the M or Q. I'm sure resale values of Lexus vehicles are much, much better than Infiniti.
