Okay, here's a hint it was in production from 1973 to 1974 only. It is made by a British company but not in England. It is widely regarded as a lemon in its country of origin.

 

I think I have hit a dead end with you guys! This is a Leyland P76. The coupe version is called the Force 7.

The care was built for about 18 months from about 1973. It was so badly built that it is regarded as the archetypal lemon in Australia.

 

Post 354: this is the NA Ford Fairlane/ DA Ford LTD. It was released in 1989 and concluded production in or around 1993. The vehicle is based upon a stretched chassis of the EA Ford Falcon.

The vehicle was released as a 3 speed 3.9 litre straight six with a live axle (very basic). It concluded its life as 4 speed with a 4.0 litre straight six and a 5.0 litre V8.

It was regarded as a luxury car in its time. They used to be used as limousines and for politicians. Nowadays they are more often than not used as getaway cars in armed robberys.
