The silhouette for the new ES in these pics even though its camouflaged looks better than the actual photos undisguised. LOL

Anyone else think the same?

I'm a little confused here . The Silver, I believe, is the new IS coupe and the black car is the new ES. By the way is japan selling the new Lexus IS, LS, ES, and GS as Lexus or as Toyota?

How did you come to the conclusion that the silver IS, that is very unmasked and a production car a coupe?

That masked car is definately looks like a ES..

In Japan, they sell the SC, GS, and IS as Lexus. No ES at the moment.

It's the 2007 Toyota Avenis : http://www.worldcarfans.com/spyphoto...sis-spy-photos

Next Generation Toyota Avensis
Toyota’s Avensis model range is about to be renewed in 2007. The current Avensis – one of Toyota’s best sellers – has been on the market since 2003, and its successor will be an all – new car.

It will again be available as sedan and station wagon.

These photos are showing for the first time a glimpse of the Japanese car maker’s top secret – a prototype of the new Avensis, caught during secret cold weather testing in North America.

As can be seen on these shots, the test drivers spotted the photographer lurking at the curb and turned around immediately to disappear forever.

Despite the disguise the car appears to be bigger than its predecessor, its styling – on the photos still hidden under a layer of camouflage – will be smoother and rounder with a sloping hood and coupe-like roof line.

Power is expected to again come from fuel engines between 1,6 and 2,4 litre, and two 2,0 and 2,2 litre Diesel engines.

Mmm, I don't think that will be the new Toyota Avensis, a car that is not even marketed in America. They wouldn't do testing here in the United States.

Here is the current Avensis. The body styling is too different.

Besides, Look at the door handles and the wheels of the mask car, and compared it to this.
