I can't wait to see what Lexus comes up with for the SC 460. 460, right?
With the IS coupe rumored to be coming out, will we see the New SC distinguish itself further? I assume the IS coupe with be a 2-seater...and the technically 2+2 SC...will it stretch? Or will it stay the same in dimensions?
I've always wanted to see a Lexus coupe that was more a successor to the spirit and style of the original SC.
Heck, now we are looking at a possible LINE of Lexus coupes...IS/SC/LF-A....bring 'em on...can't wait to see what L-Finesse looks like in a coupe.
The SC430 has been too heavy & too small for a Grand Tourer.
Here's an idea:
Drop the SC430 when the LF-A comes out. (Hold on, just listen for a second)
Make a GS convertible, a real 4 seater kinda like the CLK or BMW 6.
The SC430 rides on a shortened version of the GS430 platform, so it's already a GS convertible.
I'm not opposed to the future new one having better rear seat legroom, but if you make it a longer real 4 seater, it's only going to get bigger & heavier if you want to retain all the luxury equipments that such a Lexus is supposed to have, especially the convertible version(with hardtop).

I like the MB CL-class. Lexus needs a coupe again!!
I would like to see a large LS based coupe fom Lexus too, but the Mercedes CL sells only in very small volumes. Lexus can make a LS coupe priced lower & can sell comparatively more. But Toyota seem to always base their decisions of making cars only if they can make a good business case( i.e large profits) & not make one just for the sake of having one/bragging rights(at least from what we've seen so far), even if they no doubt can (with their finances much stronger than any other manufacturers), so I won't put too much hope in seeing such a big coupe from Lexus. . .

Don't mention anything not positive about the 650ci here they are selling well enough at it's price & really a much different car in characteristics & intent.
I can't imagine getting another convertible without a hardtop mechanism though.

LOL, yeah I know what you mean about saying anything negative about BMW here. True it sells as expected, but a soft top? Had/have soft top convertibles and my preference is obvious. They are still competitors though. Just different as you pointed out. Not knocking the 6 series, I actually like them better than any other of the BMW's out there. A Coupe for me please.
