Default New Q?

Since we are mere days away from the debut of the next LS I wonder why news of the next Infiniti Q has been so non-existant.

Didn't the last Q arrive before the current LS?

Right now a used q is the best bang for the money - you can pick up a 2002 model for 20k. Quite honestly, I don't understant how come people aren't buying it.

did they have some teething problems early on with that model? Maybe that's why customers are steering clear of them?

The older Q was HOT. the newwer one, is so so. If you lower it with some dish style rims, then it can look good. But it looks tooo Blah from the factory. But your right. with nissans resale, you can get one for a goood price.

their killing off the q line and basically creating a new flagship with a different initial through rumors, but y the hate on the q? i mean its not a looker or ugly, its just bland... which wouldnt be bad for my parents. i can understand the gripe about the price but 2 years from now a used Q or RL wouldnt be a bad bang for the buck purchase.

I am with Henry its one ugly car. FYI, it wasn't the G35 that was to be the catlyst to a half-hearted ressurection. The Q45 was. It was designed to be the best Nissan sedan ever created. And no one gave a rats ***.
Now its a follower, with its tailights revamped after its cheaper siblings, instead of it being the halo provider. Its not ever included in comparisions of its class (LS/7 etc) and is included in the lower class (GS/5 etc) where it still loses.
It will be discontinued with no replacement. The new M35/45 cannot replace it since its a class down.
People can argue all they want, you drop 60k on a car, IMAGE is a HUGE role player and that is why even cars like the A8 and XJ (Jag) have a hard time selling. People rather stick with the proven players, 7, S and LS.

Now the only Q people are kind of anticipating is teh Q7 Audi SUV

I don't like the looks of the current Q neither, but what does that have to do with a new Q (or whatever they call the new flagship) if they introduce a new one ? See, the old M45 is kinda blah, but the new one is much better . . .

well not that i don't care about the new one, but basically it will need to take a lot of them to actually get me to look at them

that's just how bad the current one is

another example? the 6 series is so good that it made me look at the car after all the bangle 7, 4, and 5

I had recently been to the Infinity dealert to look at a Q. As it has been stated, the car while offering some nice features isn't what it could be at this level. I was hoping for something more. With the LS 460L on the horizon, Nissan will have an uphill stretch to even see the game.

I sat in the Q at the dealer once. Its interior felt CHEAP. Everything from the flimsy plastic panels to the tight back seat suggested a car from the 35k range. I can see why nobody is paying it any attention at its current price.

Right now, the M45 is really more of a flagship for Infiniti than the Q the way I look at it, it's interior is just as spacious too I think.

I would be interested in a new Q, it seems though no one is interested in a pricey Japanese car unless it's a Lexus though...look at the Acura RL and NSX...
