The GL is the base Sonata. The GLS, like the Camry LE and Accord LX, is Hyundai's most popular model.

Hehe, you're right. Europeans love their manuals, but in North America, I can't say too many people go for bottom of the barrel manual Camrys, Sonatas, or Accords. Many seem to upgrade to an auto.
