TKracing,

How about giving us driving impressions on ur beauty there? I've never really seen any sort of detailed write up about how the S600 drives, handles, etc. I heard its a VERY smooth engine. What kind of suspension are you running on her? A former MB master tech was telling me the V12 has always been kinda problematic since about 1995 or so, does it give you much trouble at all? I know its not the bi-turbo, but how'd u rate the power and acceleration to other luxury cars in its category that you may have driven?

I'd also like to hear what you think about ur 02 CLK55 AMG.

Nice stable!

Thankyou. It drives like a dream for a luxury car. It handles alright for such a big car but I really havent tested its handling. What little I have cornered I can tell you its air ride suspension wasnt made for handling. It has 2 different air ride adjustments for smooth sailing on the freeways which is really what I use it for.
Engine: Very impressive. I am sure its nothing like the biturbo. I hear its unbelievable. My car has 362 hp and 391 torque which is perfect for this car. 5.8 V-12 is impressive but what I like is it drops down to 6 cylinders when I get to cruising speed.
Everytime I get in this thing it impresses me more and more. Plus inside its practically like a limo.
Problems: I bought a warranty with the car because I didnt want to mess with the expenses if any problems. So far no problems. It has had a few minor electrical glitches but nothing I couldnt fix. All in all I am extremely impressed with this year and model mercedes.

You ask about the CLK. What can I say its a pretty sick little car. Funny thing is its more my wifes. Shes a mod chick and a speed freak herself. So thats her little project.
I didnt drive it much at first but when she caravaned to Sacramento she toyed with me in my Lexus. So when we got home I took it for a spin. Dam fun car. I really cant say it lacks in any aspect. She added the tuning upgrade and switched the AMG springs and shocks to H&R and lowered it another inch. Handles even better now..

Yea I have to give her credit for creativity. She tried and I had to at least put them on. But like D-2 explains about the different cars he originally didnt like but grew on him . The taillights are having the same effect. In certain lights and different times of the day they look pretty good. I am sure I will get sick of them soon and change them back...
imho the new style headlights totally change the look of the car, and of course the grille helps a lot. the clear lens design on the headlights make it much more aggressive and imho better light output. and my wife HATES that little mb emblem in the front. she already said if we ever get a mb, we need to change the grille right the way and put on the botton so you can imagine how much she likes your car
