No..I don't think it is an Excel. Excels had different C-pillars in back.....as did the identical Mitsubushi Precis that the Excel was a rebadged version of.

Still looks more like the Isuzu I-Mark / Chevy Spectrum than anything I can remember.

Trust me, though...many people who owned early Excels and Precises WANTED to drive them into a lake. The car was a reliability disaster....totally unlike new Hyundais.
