We have heard that the new LX will not be Land Cruiser based, but rather Seqouia based. It is suppse to be called the JX- something(whatever the engine size is).

I personally tink they should still keep the large Lexus truck on the LX/Land Cruiser platform and not switch ot that Seqouia.

Yep. Would definitely love to know the direction they are going on the Land Cruiser and LX. In the market, but really need to know before I can make a $60K decision.

Default Same Here!!!

I want to buy a 2006 LX470 but I am holding off the decision until I know what the redesign LX will look like.

Granted the Sequoia is bigger than the LX, and the Sequoia has more leg room, especially in the 3rd row.
Before I commit the 60K for the LX, I really want some details about the redesigned model.

the JX is coming in soon... but I heard it would be placed in the line up and phase out the LX after 1 year (something like that) . . . I guess the LX isn't selling as well as it used to...

i know the 05 + lx and land cruiser assembly has moved to the us and is down in quality slightly. My girlfriend was looking at a 06 but decided on a 02 for $31000 that was certified. Door gaps and finishing is off in comparison, if you really want to nit pick. The lx/lc are the nicest driving offroad capable suv i have driven. I ho the the "jx" will be similarly overbuilt for off roading.

The LC and LX are still manufactured in Japan - I believe they moved plants in Japan, however.
