Here.....here is the guy to contact if you want to do cannonballs.....Brock Yates of Car and Driver.
You should be able reach him through C&D's phone numbers or website E-Mails.

http://www.caranddriver.com/article....rticle_id=4536

He is one of the foremost experts on cannonballs. He has orgainzed them himself and run some of the most famous ones.

Count me out, though......you guys are on your own with this one. I don't want any part of that stuff.

Lets get EVERYONE on CL to throw down $20 to the most worthy member as sponsership, that's like 2000+ times $20.... =40K!!! We find the fastest Lex on here (streetking gets my vote) and drop another 40 grand into something (god knows wat on his car) and boom, CL wins!!! hahaha

It takes a lot more than $$ usually to run.

I used to know a guy that coordinated a few of the gumball events/cars, who once asked me to ask my boss to enter his Skyline, and if he wanted to do it, that he'd pretty much "waiver the $3000 or whatever it was" entry. The boss politely declined because it just wasn't worth the trouble for him. I think i still have his info if anyone is SERIOUS.

You guys have no idea how insane these things get. I'd love to see some Lexus guys get in to it. But it takes a lot of cash and ***** to destroy you're driving record. Other than that there is no point in going. If you wanna take a cross country trip at the speed limit do it with the family.

There's a few different runs, but the one that is filmed in Mischief 3000 is the real ballers one. When converted from pounds to dollars, i think its like $15,000 entry fee or something. That and remembering from lookin at the application a few years ago, you kinda apply to be in it... i don't think they'll take just any car. I was kinda surprised to even see they let M3's in.
