Have you guys heard about this car? Saw it in Makes and Modelss Magazine. I was surprised it is all American made but can comfortably sit a big man like me and is totally city traffic worthy...all while being able to hit 0-60 in 3 seconds. It packs 787 hp. Even better is the SSC Ultimate Aero with 1050 hp. Bout time the Americans showed everyone they can play in the big leaugues too.

If you're thinking this car is part of the Carrol Shelby empire you're mistaken. The article in Makesand Models specifically pointed out the creator of the SSC, Jerod Shelby, is not a relative of Carrol.
I'm wondering how they gave this car the full luxury package, plus the big, powerful and heavy 1050 hp engine and kept the weight down to 2600 lbs. That's amazing. That's what carbon fiber will do for you. The luxury equipment includes remote air-accentualed doors using silent compressed air, hydraulics to raise and lower the car 4 inches when more ground clearence is needed, DVD, high end audio with 10 speakers and GPS, power everything and back up camera. No price is mentioned in the article but I'm guessing betwwen 500K-1million. Probably closer to 500K, nothing American will fetch 1 mil.
